Level 3 Apprenticeship in Beauty Therapy Massage

Course description

This is a job-ready qualification, based on National Occupational Standards (NOS), which will provide the knowledge, understanding and skills required to work competently as a beauty and massage therapist.

You will learn to provide a range of massage therapies, including body massage, Indian head, pre-blend aromatherapy and stone therapy as well as facial electrical treatments. You will also study health and safety, client care and how to plan and carry out a promotional event within a salon or spa. In addition, this course will help you to develop interpersonal skills that will assist you in communicating effectively with clients.

Taught by IBHA's excellent tutors, and with the support of your salon mentor in a real working environment, you will obtain a high degree of commerciality and skills which will increase your employability.

 

Entry requirements

Applicants do not need to have completed the Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy Standard. However, you will need to be employed for a minimum of 30 hours per week within a salon or spa and be 16 or over. We work with a number of employers within the industry and can help you to find a placement if required. On application you will be invited for an interview.

You will attend every Monday from 9.30am to 4:30pm on day release from your employer for the duration of the 1 year apprenticeship

This course is ideal for those who have completed the Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy General and want to progress to the next stage. Having completed this internationally-recognised qualification, you will possess the skills required to provide an extensive range of massage treatments, and be an asset to any salon or spa worldwide. Learn from our experienced tutors whilst earning a wage and gaining real working experience being employed in a salon or spa. Our unit-based approach means you can complete your training in stages, building confidence and professional competence as you go.

All training and course materials free of charge to the learner as a government-funded scheme. Some fees may be applicable for the employer, depending on the age of the learner and size of the business. 

Awarding Body registration and Examination fees included.
