This is a job-ready qualification, based on National Occupational Standards (NOS), which will provide the knowledge, understanding and skills required to work competently as a beauty and massage therapist.
You will learn to provide a range of massage therapies, including body massage, Indian head, pre-blend aromatherapy and stone therapy as well as facial electrical treatments. You will also study health and safety, client care and how to plan and carry out a promotional event within a salon or spa. In addition, this course will help you to develop interpersonal skills that will assist you in communicating effectively with clients.
Taught by IBHA's excellent tutors, and with the support of your salon mentor in a real working environment, you will obtain a high degree of commerciality and skills which will increase your employability.
Applicants do not need to have completed the Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy General. However, you will need to be employed for a minimum of 30 hours per week within a salon or spa and be 16 or over. We work with a number of employers within the industry and can help you to find a placement if required. On application you will be invited for an interview.
