Course description
This VTCT qualification will prepare you to work within a healthcare setting providing complementary therapies for clients who are suffering life-limiting conditions or who are critically frail.
Complementary therapies are widely available to people with cancer and increasingly to patients with a range of long term medical and life limiting conditions. These therapies are delivered alongside orthodox treatments, often within the healthcare setting, with the aim of providing psychological and emotional support through the relief of symptoms.
This qualification is designed to give you the essential knowledge to assist you to provide your therapeutic skills within a clinical setting.
This training course is a recognised VTCT qualification and includes our unique Amethyst Trust Specialist Cancer Massage training, which is endorsed by Penny Brohn UK, Federation of Holistic Therapies (FHT), Habia and the Standards Authority for Touch in Cancer Care (SATCC) and is fully insurable.
Entry requirements
To be able to take this course, therapists are required to be a complementary therapist qualified to a minimum of Level 3 (or equivalent) in anatomy and physiology and at least one complementary therapy such as massage therapy, aromatherapy or reflexology.
