Level 1 Certificate in Employability and Level 2 Provide Manicure Services and Gel Polish

1 Week Course┃

Available at our Derby Academy

A combined course teaching both employability skills and providing manicure services to clients.

To carry out this qualification you will need to maintain effective health, safety, and hygiene throughout your work. You will also need to maintain your personal appearance and good communication with the client.

Course content:

  • CV writing.

  • Job interview role play.

  • Cold call prospective employers / sending your CV.

  • Maintain safe and effective methods of working when providing manicure services.

  • Consult, plan and prepare for the manicure service.

  • Recognising contra-indications.

  • Producing a service plan.

  • Carry out manicure services- filing and buffing nails, using skin and cuticle treatments, providing a suitable nail finish and massaging the hand and lower arm.

  • Provide aftercare advice.

Further Progression

Upon completion for this course learners may progress onto a range of units or courses in Level 2 Beauty, Nails, Holistic Therapies, Hairdressing, Makeup and more.
